Macromedia's standard policy is that the prior _two_ releases are
eligible for the upgrade price. So in theory, the next major release
would be available at the upgrade price to users of both Director MX and
Director MX 2004. But I would also like to add that we're actively
looking to apply a broader scope "upgrade amnesty" such that the door
might be opened to more than just the previous two releases (for
example, all users that own D8 and newer? D7 and newer? Other?). There
are many details to sort out so I can't make any commitments beyond
stating what our current policy is, hope that helps!
