Hi everyone.

I have always heard that imaging to stage if by far
quicker than using sprites. I have a client now that
want his games runing in pentium II, 400MHZ, 4VRAM.

I am making a test with one game that have up to 250
sprites blending and mooving all arrownd, with 200X200
bitmaps with alpha. It runs quite well.

I have reprogramed all to stage and there is no
difference at all, although I am using fastquad to
true.

Have anyone really proved, without doubds, that
imaging to stage is faster than sprites?

Is there any real speed difference betwing both
methods?

Also, I am using 3D tranform objects for rotating
quads. Will be any speed increase if I use
precalculated sin/cos tables?

I really dont want to waste more time trying thing
that are not going to give more speed, like imaging to
stage (much more work for nothing)

Thanks
